It’s spring!!! I’m not usually super excited about spring, I’m more of a fall person. However, this year’s spring colors are hyping me up for the season. I know I was MIA for a while, but life happens (and St. Patrick’s Day, duh! My favorite holiday since I turned 21, and it’s pretty much just a drinking holiday in Chicago…). I’m back and we’re talking spring shoes! Part of the reason why this post didn’t come sooner is that I couldn’t think of what I legitimately wanted to wear this spring. Last year I was all about the white sneakers. This year, while I am so looking forward to wearing my AF1’s again, I wanna venture back into sandals!
Something about open-toed footwear really weirds me out – I feel dirty wearing them. This spring and summer, with my new commute schedule, I think I’m gonna start wearing them some days. They can be dressy and girly, and some days I’m just into that vibe. Here is a roundup of the shoes I picked up this spring, along with a couple I already own. I’ll be wearing these regularly in the next couple months! Most are neutrals, except one, as I’m gravitating towards them nowadays. Neutrals are more versatile in terms of what I can wear them with from my wardrobe, and where I’m wearing them. I did throw in a fun subtle color because I still enjoy colors, and it’s also the pantone color of the year! I just nerded out there, sorry… Also, in case you didn’t know, you can click the images to shop the item!
Spring Trends at Target
For trendier pieces, I went to Target. I can’t justify expensive trendy pieces myself, but also they’re really great dupes for the designer or higher end ones out there.
Staples for Spring Shoes: Nordstrom
The first pair from Vince Camuto is the newest one I picked up for spring. The other three I’ve had for a while now. My Nordstrom picks are more year round investments, and who can resist Nordstrom’s shoes?! They always get me… I’m especially obsessed with the Schutz heels I wore for my bachelorette weekend and rehearsal dinner. Great for casual outfits, nights out, and more formal occasions too!
Hope this post helps you pick out your new favorite spring shoe. Also, let me know if you’re obsessed with a specific one (especially affordable sandals) that you recommend I check out, and tag me if you pick up any of my recommendations!
