It’s one of my favorite times of the year! There’s not many sales I look forward to every year – the two Sephora sales and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It’s like Christmas for me, minus the feast. Haha.
Most Sephora sales, I just stock up on what I’m out of and maybe pick up one or two items that are new to me. For this spring sale, I’m re-upping on things I’m almost out of, but I’m also treating myself to a couple products I’ve been wanting to try, plus some items that are new releases these past few months. I am so excited for this order!
What and when is the 2022 Sephora Spring Savings Event?
If you don’t shop frequently at Sephora, you’re probably not familiar with the Sephora sales. Twice a year, Sephora offers a discount for their Beauty Insider members. Usually in April for Spring, and November in the Fall. These are the only times Sephora has store-wide sales, so they’re pretty big events for regular Sephora shoppers like me!
It’s only available to BI members though, so if you plan on shopping the sale, sign up to be a Beauty Insider. The rewards program is free! The discount has three tiers, depending on which Beauty Insider tier you are.
So when is the Sephora sale?
- Rouge can start shopping Friday, April 1 (20% off)
- VIBs on Tuesday, April 5 (15% off)
- Beauty Insiders on Thursday, April 7 (10% off)
**Use code SAVESPRING**
Additionally all Sephora Collection are 30% off. The spring sale ends on Monday, April 11.
Skincare
For obvious (or maybe not?) reasons, I am starting to invest more on my skincare than my makeup. Makeup is fun and all, but it won’t look good on bad skin! In the last couple years, I’ve been an advocate for really investing on skincare. Although, don’t get me wrong – of course I still enjoy all things makeup. Duh! Also, if you need more recommendations, check out my favorite skincare products! Here’s what’s currently in my cart:
- Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Facial Oil $68, stocking up on my favorite facial oil!
- Inkey List Retinol Eye Cream $11.49, trying out some retinol for the lines under my eyes. Fingers crossed it does anything…🤣
- Rosebud Perfume Co. Rosebud Salve $7, my go-to lip balm for at least 10 years now. My husband uses it too!
- Fresh Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash $33, wanted to try a new exfoliator because I have some texture on my skin lately!
Makeup
I’m picking up a few things for makeup this spring – mostly products I’ve never tried before but aren’t necessarily new launches (except for the Make Up For Ever foundation that everyone is raving about!).
- Make Up For Ever HD Skin Undetectable Longwear Foundation $43, Everyone is excited about this, so let’s see what the hype is about!
- Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette, Volume II $68, Never bought any of these OG palettes, and I love the holiday launches so I thought I’d finally grab one of these during a Sephora sale!
- Gucci Poudre de Beaute Eclat Soleil Bronzing Powder $62, I admittedly do not have an excuse for this boujee purchase… but the reviews are great. I promise I’ll return it if I don’t love it!
- Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara $27, Liked the original formula, but I need waterproof so trying this out next!
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel $22, Needed a new tube 🙂
Hair
My hair really needs some extra TLC right now – it’s been struggling since the end of last year. The cold Chicago weather, my hair getting friction from winter coats, and my hair appointments getting delayed because of covid. There’s so much breakage, it’s brittle, and my scalp is dry. So I need to get more silk pillowcases, and I’m trying out a new shampoo. I’ve been using Olaplex for a couple years now, but I think it’s time to try something different in case it works better!
- GHD Unplugged Styler $299, this one is a splurge. It’s not necessary, but I know there have been many times when I wished I could style my hair in the car when I don’t have enough time to get ready! So the Sephora sale is the perfect time to snag it. Plus, I LOVE GHD hair tools.
- Kitsch Satin Pillowcase $19, I’ve been using the Slip silk pillowcase for about 5 years now, and I love it. While I wanna switch all our pillowcases to the Slip ones, they’re just too expensive. So I’m trying out the more affordable Kitsch satin ones, and we’ll see how it compares.
- Virtue The Perfect Ending Split End Serum $42, I’m skeptical about this because what actually repairs split ends, right? But I’m going to try it because the reviews look promising! I’ve read up on the technology Virtue uses and I’m really curious, so I’m giving their line a shot.
- Virtue Recovery Shampoo $40, this claims to rebuild damaged hair while removing buildup, so I’m looking forward to trying this new shampoo!
- Acquis Prime Rapid-Dry Hair Turban $30, I’ve been putting off this purchase because I just didn’t want to spend more than $15 on a darn towel, but I also know my hair is breaking from me using my regular towel as a turban! It’s time… I’m too stubborn not to put my hair in a turban after washing it!
Are you shopping the Sephora sale? If you are, what are you picking up? Let me know what you’re thinking of buying, or if you plan on trying any of the products I’m purchasing. Can’t wait to play with my new items soon!
