I always tell my mom I don’t know what to get her for Mother’s Day because it’s hard to find a gift for someone who already has everything she could ever want…hint: it’s me and my siblings. We usually default to flowers because our mom loves flowers anytime of the year. However, if you’re looking for something more than flowers this year, I hope this Mother’s Day Gift Guide will give you some ideas to inspire your gift shopping for the mothers in your lives!
Pampering
I’m not even close to knowing what a mom needs, but when I think of what a mom could usually use, I just think “me time” Haha. What’s the closest tangible thing to a breather I can get them? Probably cozies and pampering products. Put these items in a gift basket or box, or just pick out a few!
- Barefoot Dreams Socks $15 (Nordstrom Butter Crew Socks are better, in my opinion, but they’re currently not available!)
- Barefoot Dreams Robe $127 (Short length robe $158)
- Target PJs
- Short-sleeve satin shorts set $25 (personal fave and comes with an eye mask, they also have a long-sleeve version!)
- Soft Short-sleeved long pajama set $25 (also comes in long-sleeves and cropped pants options!)
- Slip Silk Skinny Hair Ties and Large Scrunchies $39
- Nécessaire
- The Body wash $25
- The Body lotion $25
- The Body serum $45
- The Body Ritual Set $40
- Facial Rollers $32 or Gua Sha $24 (They don’t have to be fancy – any kind will do!)
- Eye Masks
- Facial Steamer $149
- Life in Lilac Candles $29.95 (so much better than Bath & Body Works ones, and don’t make your head hurt!)
Makeup
Besides cozy things, I also think any “feel-good” products make great presents. There’s a bunch of those, but one of my go-to ways for a pick-me-up is putting makeup on and feeling your best. So I thought I had to include it in a Mother’s Day Gift Guide. Besides, I encourage any excuse to get makeup for my loved ones 😛 I specifically chose products that I know any age and skin texture would appreciate and find easy to use. I didn’t include any specific fragrances here because it’s a very personal gift, depending on what scents they like, but I also recommend a beautiful perfume for mama!
- Charlotte Tilbury products
- Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palettes $68 (any of their individual powders are all great too, and cheaper than a full palette so check them out!)
- Bite Beauty Power Move Hydrating Soft Matte Lipstick $28 (been on sale for $17 for weeks now!)
Home
Pampering extends to other spaces in the home, in little things, for when you’re sitting on the couch watching TV, hanging out with family, and even moments when you walk in from a long day and just need that “I’m home” feeling.
- Life in Lilac Diffusers $33 These diffusers last forever and make the whole room smell amazing!
- Nordstrom Bliss Plush Throw $40 (a great alternative to the more expensive ones)
- Wine Cooler $40 + stemware and maybe add on a wine subscription or box if you’re feelin’ it and make a gift basket! (I used and loved Winc. Here’s $30 off your first order!)
- Barefoot Dreams their cardigans are the best, but really anything from this brand is SO good and luxe (I prefer the original styles over the ones that say “lite”)
Productivity
These gifts are tools (if not incentives) to stay organized and feel motivated! Who doesn’t get excited to be productive when you have pretty planners and organization stuff?! The Ember mug keeps your drink at your ideal temperature for as long as you need it to! If the person you’re gifting it to is like me, we sip coffee all morning and cold coffee gets gross. Not sure if I need to convince anyone about the Apple Watch. Besides the obvious helpful features, I need it to stay connected to my family all day, especially when I need to be hands-free while I’m running around.
- Erin Condren journal, planners, organization items their products are such good quality, and I’m a snob when it comes to paper quality especially! A couple of my favorite products:
- Focused Vegan Leather Planner my personal favorite planner
- Gold Triangle File Sorter $12 I have this and it’s so pretty and understated, and just a bit different than most file organizers
- Notebooks/journals
- Ember Mug $100+ They come in different sizes and in a travel mug version
- Apple Watch $199+
My Top Picks
If I would pick one thing from all my recommendations, I would probably go with the Life in Lilac items. Not only are the products beautiful with reusable packaging, the quality is great and they smell amazing! They make your place look good and smell good! My LiL products are such happy decor items in our home. Not to mention they’re from a small woman-owned business founded by Jen Reed (an Instagram influencer, a mother, and a business woman who I look up to so much!).
If you prefer to get her something more luxe, I would go for any of the Barefoot Dreams items, the Ember Mug, or any of the Slip Silk stuff.
Hope this Mother’s Day Gift Guide sparked some ideas for what to get the mothers in your lives this year. And if you’re a mom reading this, happy mother’s day!
